Founded in 2008
The Harlem Arts Foundation (HAF) is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to creating artistic platforms that drive cultural and economic sustainability in Harlem and beyond. Founded by Harlem-based multidisciplinary immigrant artist Edward Hillel with a coalition of residents and community partners, HAF promotes Harlem’s renowned architecture, BIPOC diaspora, diverse neighborhoods and rich multicultural history, attracting audiences from the region, nationally and globally.
Immigrants Are US: the (G)eneration Project, [was] launched with support from U.S. Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), New York State Senator Robert Jackson (31st District), New York State Assembly Member Inez E. Dickens (District 70) and New York State Assembly Member Rev.
